Case Study: Pandora’s Closet Online
Pandora’s Closet is a unique second-hand store that sells new and pre-loved items that helps support Gutter Kitties – a cat rescue in Auckland. Their physical store is located in the sunny Hibiscus Coast. The store was opened by Danielle in 2015 and includes a reading area where you can grab a hot drink and look through the many books on offer.
Our client came to us with a dilemma. Their current Ecommerce platform on Wix did not have integration for one of their payment gateways that they wanted to offer their customers. GenonaPay allows a retailer to offer 10 interest free payments providing even more ways for potential customers to purchase products – pay 10% upfront and get your item now.
Our client already was locked into a Wix contract for 1 year – so after consultation with our client to discover what was best for them and how they operated, a second domain was purchased. We then installed WordPress and WooCommerce CMS with their current webhost. Our client still wanted to utilise the existing Wix website with a link to the new one.
Pulse Media designed a user friendly, responsive website and tweaked it to our clients liking using client provided imagery for the header. We created a brand-new logo for the website which was inspired by the colour in one of their Salt Lamp products to give a warm and inviting feel.
Pulse Media went one step further and offered sponsorship of the website design and will provide monthly website maintenance for Pandora’s Closet, so they don’t have to worry about updates – they can just get to work selling their unique products. Why? Because we are avid cat lovers and know the proceeds help go towards cat rescue. Philanthropy is big on Pulse Media’s list with our own Managing Director also running a national charity of her own – KittyCat Fixers.
